Frequently Asked Question
Checking For and Clearing Jammed Keys in the Key Stacker
Last Updated 5 years ago
It is rare but possible that a key can become jammed in the key encoder/stacker.
Fixing this issue for a magnetic encoder can be as easy as unplugging the encoder for 10 seconds and plugging it back in to restart it and eject the key.
For an RFID encoder you will need to check for the jammed keys. Start by removing all the keys from the stacker. Make sure to look under the encoder as well. If you find any jammed keys remove them by pulling them towards the area that the key hopper and the encoding tunnel meet.
Typically the keys get stuck in between the stacker and the card exit.
If for some reason this does not resolve the issue please open up a support ticket for further troubleshooting.
